Etude House Juicy Cocktail Nail Polish

26 September 2013

Hello everybody! I couldn't keep up with my regular blogging schedule lately and I hope you haven't forgotten about my little blog. The main reason behind my blogging hiatus is my dysfunctional body clock. I fall asleep hours after the sun is up and wake up at night. This affects my mood and performance very badly. Hopefully soon it will be fixed and I can be more productive. Today I am going to show you one of the things I recently received as a gift. It is not very often that I own a beauty or fashion item that is green so I was glad to get a hold of this nail polish set. It is the Etude House Juicy Cocktail Nail Polish in Lime Squash.

Am I the only one who didn't know that there is a cocktail named Lime Squash? I wonder how it taste like. Apparently such drink actually exist. Etude House did a good job in interpreting the drink into nail polishes because the colors are very similar.

It has three colors, in which, if you follow the instructions written at the back of the box you will get an instant gradation / ombre nail art. The steps are a lot easier compared to the DIY ombre nails that I showed you days ago. This is good news for those who mentioned that you feel like you can't execute the DIY steps very well. Here's an easier solution for you.

I got to say that in order for you to really appreciate it, you must have longer nails. The more space you have on your nails the more room for you to play with the gradiant. I made a mistake of trimming my nails before painting them and so I feel like the pictures do not do justice on how charming this nail polish set is when applied.

The camera couldn't capture how sparkly the glitters are at the tip of my nails, and the glitters are the  most beautiful feature of this product. Applying the first two nail polishes were quite boring. When you reach the last step of having to apply the chunk of glitters at the tip of your nails, it completely enhances the look. It's a bit too yellowish green for my taste, but I still think its pretty :)

If you like cocktails, summer colors (especially green), and would like to attempt ombre-ing your nails, then I highly recommend this nail polish set for you. They have it in a lot of other colors and themes. I would probably get the pink and blue sets in the future, because those are my favorite. I also think that this is a nice gift for young ladies because of the cute packaging, the lovely colors, and the fun of creating your own gradient nail art. Plus if you get tired of creating ombre looks you can use each nail polish separately.
